Default Who are you?

What is your worth?

Your uniqueness is a gift, a gift from God, and therefore to be treasured.
God made people different. He loves variety -- just look at nature.

It is culture and society that try to force us to conform to a uniform model. That's not God's plan. It's not how he made us to be. People want conformity because they're afraid. That's not a good reason.

Unique means one-of-a-kind, and we're all that. Just look at our faces.

Everyday I see people who are hurting not knowing their worth in God, who abuse drugs, trying to find love, self-worth in bad relationships & sexual pleasures, self-harming, depression. Sometimes we let other people tell us what our self-worth is instead of what God says.

You are uniquely created by God and have a purpose that only you can fulfill. Isn't that amazing to think about? A person created an planned by God with a purpose. Paul captured that thought in his letter to the church at Ephesus: "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them" Ephesians 2:10. That verse describes every individual.

For You formed my inward parts...
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
Your eyes have seen my unformed substances;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.
~Psalm 139:13-16

As you wake up each day, remember that God has a plan and purpose for your life! He has revealed His deep love for you in His Son. He wants you to come to Him and let Him care for you.
Resist belittling thoughts or calling yourself names. Mistakes and failures are a part of life. Forgive yourself and talk to yourself as a good friend would.
Realize also that Jesus wants to be your best Friend and that He has forgiven and accepted you and you can never be separated from His love.
Accept compliments without suspecting insincerity. Realize that others can see qualities in you that you may not notice. Know that God loves you as a unique and special person..Don't be envious of anybody else's possessions, opportunities, or positions. Realize that others feel insecure and inadequate in new situations, too. You can do things that others can't.
Doom and gloom needn't be everyday occurrences. Things aren't so serious that they need to drag you down for long. Look for positive aspects and outcomes. See certain things as a challenge. Realize that the Lord promises to be with you, help you and to not ever to forsake you.
God has indeed given you gifts and talents. God can work through you in special ways.Take proper care of yourself spiritually as well as physically. Have a regular Bible time and prayer time everyday.

He loves you! NEVER FORGET!!
Lord, your love knows no bounds, no limits, no distinctions. We thank you for your individual love for each of us. Help us to know our self-worth through You. No matter what our outward looks, education, race and color, economic and cultural diversity is Lord, help us to accept our uniqueness and to use how you created us to be as a testament to You and your glory. Amen
