Yes, evolution would be difficult to bond to that.
And as Gwenyfur brought up, eugenics at least may be very strongly supported by any belief system that incorporates evolution. Would anyone argue for eugenics? If not, then why not? Is what's good for the goose (the whole evolutionary process) not good for the gander (your species)?
