hmm... i'll probably go against the grain and say i do plan to see this movie.
i don't usually like taking someone else's word for things of this nature it very well may be true that the author has an agenda but this does sound like the Harry Potter & Da Vinci Code crazes that went through the church. and in both instances, once i actually looked into them myself, i realized it wasn't any where near as horrible as i was being told. And, having actually looked into these things myself i was armed to actually discuss them with whoever i needed to.
I know on the authors website he is quite open about his animosity towards organised religion so i will admit there is likely truth to this but unless i do my own research all i can ever know about it is what i read online from someone i never met and all i have to refute the movie on, should the need arise, is hearsay and thats not usually that persuasive
sooo.. yeah i do plan on seeing the movie and i probably will be reading the books as well.
