Wellllll I don't know If I am a great example or anything because my husband and I struggle sooooo much these days! ( as you have probably read).

I was in another marriage for 11 years, he decided to leave.. neither of us were saved at the time.
After several months of throwing myself in my work I decided I should start dating again. I met several men but none were THE one. IN fact I have a prayer book and I made a list that if it were Gods will this was what I was looking for.
I did the online thing. Being I am a worry wart about safety I didn't meet many of those that I emailed or chatted with. Sometimes if you chat long enough online you know all you need to know!
Most I would talk to online for about 2 weeks before they even got my phone number

I went on one horrendous date after meeting online and said "NO MORE ONLINE DATING".. swore it off..

BUT

Valentines day I was home bored and thought OK I shall try ONE more time and I put myself out there on www.matchmaker.com
Pretty instantly I had many responses and several I didn't return but one stood out so I emailed him. He was online and we started chatting. For another odd reason I decided to give him my number THAT night and we chatted for 3 hours on the phone. He seemed too good, I knew he must be a dork or something in person!
SO I agreed to meet him for dinner the following weekend.
We hit it off. We spent hours chatting on the phone, online, in person. Being he had children from a previous marriage I wouldn't see him when he had his girls. I didn't know if we were going to stick so I didnt want to get the girls attached to me and vica versa, and we NEVER spent the night at each others house especially after I did meet the girls. I know women have it hard enough so I wanted to be a good example.
We just had so much in common. Both sports nuts, love animals, conservative, CHRISTIAN, in fact he was 14 of the 17 things on my list! The other three I found out with time.
One day when we were wrestling around ( he wrestled in college and I am a tough girl) He said " I think we should get married"..... I said "OK"

And that was 4 years ago ( we have been together 6 next month)...

Nothing fancy, he and I just seemed to be a great match. Our problems have always been around his ex.... other then that we are a good match... we just don't see I to I on that issue and sadly its a HUGE issue for me!

Is that what you wanted to know? LOL
