we actually met on Christianforums.com back in 2004. Back then several of the teens would get together on MSN and group chat practically every evening. Kenny was part of that group, although we'd only cross paths every six weeks or so (I found out later that he saw my profile and was afraid to talk to me because he had a crush on me). Whenever we did talk it was usually about school and such, since we were both having school issues (my grades were dropping due to lack of interest, he was getting into trouble because of the extremely strict rules of Pensacola Christian College.
Things didn't really start up until January the next year. It was actually more of a joke than a relationship. One evening I was in an MSN chat with the usual members kinda flirting a bit with one of the guys, when Kenny popped in. Jokingly I told one of the guys to "strongly hint to Kenny that I wanted a proposal." Kenny joined along and "proposed" and we ended up getting "married" about 45-60 minutes later in the chat.
Since that night we talked practically nonstop, even if a lot of times we were continuing our little joke marriage. I was pretty sure there was a mutual crush going on, but at that point in my life I decided that I was going to wait on God and not make the first move as I had in the past. Sure enough, Kenny surprised me when I asked him what he wanted for his birthday. "I want a mouse pad with a picture of my lovely wife on it," was his request. The relationship grew from there. We began texting around the clock, calling when we could, and talking online every evening. Six weeks later he flew out to visit me for spring break, I went back to Florida to stay with him for awhile, and he even moved to Washington for a few months to be with me.
One week after we celebrated our one-year anniversary we got married. We'll be celebrating that date two years ago this Wednesday.
