You could try things like a diaphram which is just a barrier like a condom and it is fairly effective. There are foams and sponges, but these are less effective and you would be almost better off doing the natural family method. I think you have the basic idea of the family method, but it really isn't effective. I know a couple that have seven children from using this method and he is just a gym teacher at a local high school and she is a stay at home mom. So needless to say they are very stressed out by all the kids and finances. I would talk to a doctor when the time comes for you to make a decision about birth control and see what methods are most effective. Birth control is changing on a yearly basis and so many are new that I really worry about the long term side effects not only to you, but any of your future children. This is really a decision that you need to pray about, discuss with a professional, and your future spouse. My hubby decided to be responsible for this, because of all the problems that it caused me and you may be lucky in this area too. I will pray you get some answers about this.
