Women like variety.
Women love colors, changing clothes, playing dress up. We like looking nice and being told we look nice. 
The majority of females have also bought into the lies of several industries like fashion that to be beautiful we must dress to the nine, we must buy all kinds of makeup to look beautiful, we must buy all kinds of shoes, purses, jewerly to look and feel beautiful. We must spent money getting tanned, skinny, manicures, pedicures, hair just right. Sooooo time spent in trying to look nice for you guys. I just read an awesome devotional about that and how in scripture men who got hooked on a women's looks alone usually ended up in a bad situation like David, Jacob and a few others. A thread for the Gal's forum I hope to write.
I could say men can sometimes spend an equal amount of time shopping for tools, hobby related stuff. My dad can spend too long in a car parts/computer store.
