Fooood. =)
Food. It's the one thing that unites all humans. What is your favorite recipe? I love recipes. Not that I ever cook. I just like reading them and telling myself I try it, but never actually will. My favorite recipe:
Requires
-1 graham cracker
-strawberry cream cheese
Directions:
-Spread.
Results: almost, not quite strawberry cheesecake!
Yes, I'm a cheater.
But really, I need a recipe for an easy dessert (in mass quantities) for my brother's young men's group. They're having a meeting at my house soon, and my friend and I are competing for the position of Honorary Sister in their group (Long story short, all the guys have "positions,"--ie. Cheiftan, and Tribal Elder, etc-- and my friend got honored Honoray Sister for making perfect chocolate chip cookies when it was at her house. Yes, I took that as a challenge, but I don't have a recipe...
Remember, whatever recipe you give me, it has to have QUANTITY. These guys ate like 6 cookies each.

Lol...I'm sorry but that sounds utterly disgusting :\. Allrecipes.com has tons of recipes, and best of all you can compare them all with their reviews. It's worth reading the reviews too, because people that have tried the recipes also give tips on what to add or whether or not you should reduce the quantity of a certain ingredient. Usually, the comments are alike so I follow it with the alterations.

Hmm...I'm not sure if this thread was created to discuss food and the kinds we like, or to ask for easy recipes. lol. So, since I'm in the mood for the first, my favorite dessert, favorite food, favorite ANYTHING is pumpkin pie. But really pumpkin anything. Pumpkin bread. Pumpkin cookies. Anything and everything that has pumpkin in it I love. And DQ's pumpkin pie blizzard this month... DA BOMB! Since it's only offered for the month of November (as far as I know), for weeks--no, months--no, an entire year, I've been craving it. Last week I actually had a DREAM about it! :clap2: It was hilarious! So anyways...tonight I went and got one! It was utterly amazing!
So yeah, you all can call me the pumpkin freak.

Well, as for me..I really, really like to eat..
Eating healthy food is important and having a balanced meal and diet..
I'm a milk-lover before and any products made with milk like yogurt, cheese, and etc..but since I've heard that dairy products reduced the amount of calcium in our body instead of helping 'you know' from 3ABN channel in short it's not really for us i started to avoid it and go for soya..
For me real food are fresh fruits, vegetables, and meat but as the bible says 'anything is permissable but not all things are beneficial'..
and in III John 1:2 it says,
Amplified Bible (AMP)
2Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.
New Living Translation (NLT)
2 Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit.
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
2Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.
King James Version (KJV)
2Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
yeah..that's it! Love you all in Christ!

I am personally vegan based on the principle of humans being herbivores because you cannot eat raw meat. That and I love fruit, and raw meat just seems disgusting to me. That and I couldn't take down a bull with my teeth and hands alone. It also means I can't eat any chips (cheese and lactose), chocolate bars, cakes, doughnuts, and anything else that would give me indigestion and diarrhea. That and animal cruelty in america is waaay out of control. Anyways!
My favorite food is probably banana's. I love banana's. They're so good because they replace everything your body needs. Runner up though, is avocado's. I lovvveee avocados.
Anyways, for desert, this is so good, but really really expensive. Lime Cheesecake (without cheese!)
You take a whack load of almonds and you grind them into a paste and you take half a cup of honey (more or less) and mix it into a pie pan then put in the fridge to set. After that you take about 3 cups of cashews (soaked for an hour before to soften) and grind them, mix in about a cup or so of coconut oil to thicken (when you freeze this it will make it a thicker consistency), and about a quarter cup to a cup of honey depending on what fruit you use and how sweet you want it, if you use too much honey it's really hard on your teeth (use agave nectar if you have it), and a cup of lime juice. You could use anything though instead of lime, heck you could probably even use carrots. Blend it all together, throw it into your pie crust, and then freeze for about 3-4 hours. Lotsa protein, completely raw, and it tastes exactly like cheesecake texture and all. It's fairly quick to make aside from the freezing time.
Also: milk is bad for you, yes. Especially commercial milk because it is cooked first and a bunch of other stuff is done to it. We don't have lactase after the age of about 4 to break down the milk sugar lactose, and we also do not have the enzyme renin to coagulate milk so we are able to poop it out like babies do. It is bad for your intestinal system, cheese especially since it's concentrated milk. We are the only mammals on earth after the age of 5 that drink milk, how weird is that? I would lay low on the soy milk though. Excess soy milk can be worse for you then milk. Personally I love almond milk, extra good for you, lotsa natural calcium!
edit: you will want to put some sort of topping on the cheesecake, like blueberries, or syrup, jam, etc. It probably wouldn't be good for a big group of people because it's so expensive, but if you love cheesecake this is for you!
