Ooooh, records.

Well, let's see. I read 600 pages in about 24 hours, two weeks ago... the first two or so Hornblower books, starting 1am Friday morning (hehe) and finished about 1am Saturday morning (obviously I didn't read straight through, heh ) I probably read for about 6 hours total, or so. I think I average, in those books anyways, about 100 pages every 40-50 minutes, but some of them are "harder" to get through than others.

Eh, speed-reading is overrated, it takes a lot of concentration to actually read really quickly, for me... forcing myself to read faster than I would normally, it's mentally stressful, hehe. (about 1400wpm was my fastest timed reading in high school)

It's a thin book, but I didn't feel like reading it yesterday *maybe because it was the 6th day of the 6th month of the 6th year* )0.o
Anyhooy it's okay so far, a tad freaky but no more gory then, let's say, Stephen King..so I rate it an 8 out of 10, but I'm not finished it yet, so we'll see

hehe. It seems to me we actually have a copy of the Omen book laying around here somewhere. I should see if I can find it again. But my brother and dad and I are actually heading out in another half hour to see the movie

Bah!! The movie looks scary! Good..but scary. Hee, you'll have to tell me what it's like.
My record is a 1600 page book "The Stand: Uncut" ~Stephen King, (it had an extra 400 pages or something crazy that were first edited out) and I read that in 6 days...very very good book.

I used to read Steven King a lot.

Not so much anymore, mostly because I don't have any more of his books and am too lazy and cheap to buy them again.
