Angry Don't let the Hand Argue with the Wrist.

Hello, I am your friendly neighborhood moderator and I have a message for all of you...

/me sits down in a chair next to the fireplace that suddenly appeared

I've and my fellow moderators have noticed a disturbing thing in this forum. I feared it would find its way in, but Satan always finds a way of division. The thing I am talking about is: Anti-Catholic/Protestant bias and posts. Unlike the forum which doesn't have a name, we won't tolerate whole sale bickering from either side. So if anyone posts anti-protestant stuff it would be dealt with. Also, if any anti-Catholic stuff is posted it will be also dealt with. I would also like to add that insinuating that another is anti-protestant/catholic for not other reason other than them disagreeing with a teaching won't be tolerated. People have rights to their views, and having a view contrary to your own doesn't make them bigot. So if you want to post about Catholic Vs. Protestant topics then please do it respectfully and in actual debate form (ie: evidence presented, discussed, views posted, and no posts about personal character).

Now, I must tell you the punishment for repeat or major offenders. The Moderators here reserve the right to issue Forum Specific Bans on trouble makers. Please don't get smart and use fancy posting to disguise prejudices, cause if other people can see through it, so can we. We don't want to get out our ban sticks or hats if we don't got to, so don't make us.

A hearty "Thank You!" to the Mods and Staff! I almost left CCF over this issue. I'm pleased to see such a clear, firm stance taken, that reflects the heart of God.

I agree with Restore the River. We are all saved by Grace through faith in Christ Jesus, not by any one Church. Doctrine can be discussed without hateful recrimination if it is done in the Holy Spirit and not a false spirit trying to create dissension. There isn't one of us here that saved themself. The is no one church which has the monopoly on Jesus or on God's grace. If we disagree on the interpretation of a passage even that disagreement can be discussed if the emotion is left with the accuser who desires above all else that Christians not be able to have Biblical Fellowship and edification without fighting.
Paul had a spirit that was sometimes harsh in his approach, but even he apologized for speaking harshly to the High Priest even thought he did not know at the time that the man he was harsh with was the High Priest.

Jesus spoke of, in fact warned us, of the false teachers and make-believe Christians that would infiltrate the Church seeking to create dissension. He told us that He would take care of it when the proper time came. It isn't for us to do now, for we are unable to know the hearts of those with whom we disagree. Now if someone is teaching something contrary to the Scriptures, they should be stopped and admonished, but here on the Forum that should be left up to the Staff and moderators.

Even as vocal as I can sometimes be, I don't condemn those who are incorrect in what they say, they may not realize that they are speaking in error. Rather they should be corrected lovingly with the Word of God and not beaten over the head with our unsupported opinions.

You know mate, I'm an Aussie, and when it comes down to loving your neighbour, then how can you point a finger.

But, I do my best to direct those who wander off the truth of HIS WORD, and back to the truth, our Lord Jesus Christ.

We need to remember that HE is the TRUTH, and HE is the WORD, and HE is the Son of our Almighty God. HE is our Saviour, and our Master, and our Lord, and our King. HE is who counts not some "philosophy and empty deceit, according to the traditions of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to our Lord Jesus Christ" (Col. 2:8).

When we get down to the nitty-gritty, all religion is the "traditions of men"

I agree with you Mac, and sadly the churches these days are filled with false teachers and Christians. Woe is the day when evil is called good, and good is called evil!

Yeah there is really no reason why anyone should be pushing things on other people, it's not a very good thing to do.

Though I'm not much about Christianity, I am most likely here to offer spiritual guidance, and to tell the other Athiests how to act around Christians.

I know so many Christian people, and they are awesome to get along with.

I never let religious beliefs get in the way of friendship, and I hope you all feel the same. :]

Isn't "Spiritual Guidance" a non-sequitur for an atheistic world view?
