Default Going to raves

So, I like dance music and I have dj'd for many years. Since I was 12 actually with mobile entertainment and it just moved naturally into dance music because it has so much energy and is great for mixing and can work the crowd over great if they like that kind of music. I have been to a couple raves before, and they're pretty much exactly what you would think they would be if you haven't been to one.

Now I know they get a bad rap, and for good reason too. There's drugs at every corner usually, and the music is extremely sexual and sinfull at times, well you can feel the bad from the music. It's empowering because the DJ made this music and it literally comes from his mind, and it makes you think about what's beyond death. Life is chaos to me; and this music symbolizes some sort of freedom away from strictness because inevitably we all face some sort of sadistic demise; and intentions don't necessarily designate the outcome of a game. I am vegan, but that's not my point (if you can relate to my past statements with the fact that I am vegan).

I have even done drugs myself; and they're pretty much exactly what the name would say they do. Bad and good. You don't die, but they do change the way you think. Some times it's all amazing, or you can have a bad trip and it will change you for ever. It's all in your head really; each person reacts to everything differently as well.

It all started in high school when my friends started doing drugs. They all did drugs before me and eventually I just fell into it too when I started smoking weed when I was drunk at party's. Since then, I have never got sick, or anything like that. My soul isn't the same, I am crazier (I have more than one mind in my brain it seems like, but some times they come up with amazing ideas!) and I have lower inhibitions but I am not afraid of the world any more. Radical change occurs very quickly when you do a drug. I have met many people who do drugs because I do drugs (smoke weed together). It makes you much less neive to the world and whole bunch less stupid when it comes to street sense. Before I stepped out of this circle I wouldn't of been able to cope with real life if I hadn't changed (every one is different). So it was good for me and it also taught me a lot about my body.

Before you go all anti-drug on me, which I wont disagree with you for because they're responsible for a lot of bad in the world. Drug dealers especially because you're driving illegal trade underground where it's unregulated which causes fights for power and money and the littlest things can result in extremely bad consequences. It also gives these bad people who deal very large amounts of drugs extreme power. But the drugs them selves have many great effects, marijuana can be great for medicinal purposes and they're definitely effects of ecstasy that could help with certain forms of depression. Heroin (something I haven't done) is only one part away from morphine and cocaine is just a plant grown in south america (mind you some plants can kill you instantly but, hey it is just a plant?! :S) and many tribes did mushrooms for spiritual reasons for years. I personally do not like stories I have heard about speed. ANYWAYS. The pharmaceutical company's are responsible for 100x that many deaths and the money that's in that industry is so sick and unreal it isn't funny. Imagine if they found a cure for diabetes, 1 000 000 people would lose their jobs and obesity rates would rise 40% all the while marijuana has never killed a single person.

Anyways; there's a music festival coming up soon and my friends are going and I am not sure if I want to go. I had a good time last year, and at the same time I didn't because I was always left alone it felt like; as if I can't connect to people the right way. Coming up tomorrow is an all night rave of an international DJ which I would like to see but I am unsure about what I am going to do about that either. I haven't really done drugs in about a year. Most of my experimenting occurred in high school and what I have learned is that you don't want to do drugs very quickly in a short space of time or when you're very young either. Almost all of em use substances in your brain called serotonin and if you don't eat banana's (contains tryptophan) or take 5HTP (serotonin pills) you can be left feeling very depressed, tired and sick for days after because your body can't keep up with production.

Just passin' my thoughts on to you folk who are as true blue when it comes to being a good Samaritan as me.
