not advice specifically - but my 3 sisters and I all repeat one of her favorite reminders that "this too shall pass." It covers a wide variety of situations.

Honestly all my mom gives me is critisim-like advice. If something I'm doing is not to her liking she'll make sure I do what she wants.
I wish I could think of some good advice she gave me, but nothing comes to mind.

Best Advice Mom gave me......she told me, as I was growing up, that she would always put her marriage before us kids and that when I get married I need to do the same. She would explain that to me when she and my dad would go away without us, she said it was important for them to have alone time and she has always encouraged me to do the same with my husband. (Of course she would explain that she loved us and loved spending time with us, and she always had a fun, safe place for us to stay when they went away.)

I don't have a mother, but I do have an "other mother". She's my ballet teacher. She's given me so much amazingly helpful advice but I think the two most helpful things she has told me are...
-pursue the unknown with all of your heart, no hesitation
-Trust in the Lord. Wait on the Lord. You will find Him, as you seek Him, if you seek Him with all of your heart.
This isn't really advice, but she has taught me what love looks like and how to love. and I think that is one of the most important things in life...I'm sure a lot of your mother's have taught you something about love too?

Probably the best advice is... "Be there for your children. Don't become one of these mothers who puts her child in daycare because she hasn't got enough time to take care of it. Children will need you most of all".

Well...my mom wasn't great for advice....and gramma well she's the cliche` queen...
but great gramma...now that was a wise woman...
Her best piece of advice to me came just 6 months before she died
We were kneeding noodles and she said, "Honey, you're getting to dating and marriage age, it's time you knew the one thing that will help you choose a man. All men are made of goat cheese, it's how they're churned that makes the difference."
She's right, how a boy is raised makes a huge difference in what kind of a man they are
