Carbon Tax Vote Today

This is a email send to my mother.

Because you have stood with Grassfire against oppressive taxes, I
want to alert you to the expected vote tomorrow (Friday) in the
Senate on a new $1.2 trillion carbon tax.

Passage of this tax would have a devastating impact on our economy--
sharply increasing the price of gas (by as much as $1.40 per gallon),
raising taxes and creating a new, bloated government bureaucracy.

We just heard that Majority Leader Reid is rushing this bill forward --
ending debate today and forcing a vote Friday.

Send faxes TODAY to your two senators and other key senators demanding
a "NO" vote for the Lieberman-Warner Carbon Tax (S. 3036).

I got this same Eamil yesterday, and am really upset and unerved, by the amount of people whom have jumped on this "carbon footprint" stuff.

I have even heard some go as far as saying that because of the carbon footprint that it would cause that people should no longer be having kids. (what a crock).


(this actually makes me think back to the movie "Spcaeballs" and having to pay for the air that they breath(remember the soda can's filled with druidian air?), how much longer will it be before we will be charged too?)

It's not surprising. Who in Washington would want to be responsible for voting yes on such an abusive and blatantly disgusting bill?
