yup we need to be praying for our leaders constantly. Too often thats taken to the extreme that we always have to support *everything* they do, but as you look at how Samuel approached Saul's leadership, Meshach Shadrach and Abed-nego with Nebuchdnezzar's, or Nathan with David's (among other examples in Scripture) you know thats not the case. Leaders are human and therefore completely fallible in their leadership, even if they were ordained by God for that position.
So that being the case, we need to be constantly praying that they may have both the wisdom, strength, discernment, and humility to do the right thing and the wisdom, strength, discernment and humility to admit when they're wrong, repent, and fix what they need to.
