There's nothing wrong with a foreign policy decision such as was described in the OP, provided you understand the context - the Cold War was a notorious and very interesting period of time, where a lot of interesting things happened. Probably they weren't the best things, but they were human things that sometimes cannot be avoided.
The biggest thing I really have against Obama is that whole "Hope" thing. I've just never understood what his followers are hoping for - a reason to hope, perhaps? Well, I hope the election year is over with soon and we can all move on.

Oh thats what that was, a foreign policy speech. Don't mind me, I am naive. I thought that was a bash McCain speech. Silly me. Obama must be naive also, he wants to negotiate with Hamas and Iranian leader Abedinejad, wow at least we have that in common.

Well, it's more of a "Oh noes, McCain is a hypocrite for having a guy on staff who courted a dictator who happened to oppose a Communist regime during the Cold War!" type of article. But the assumption there is that the other candidates don't also have advisers who lobby (or have in the past lobbied) for unattractive things. It's neither here nor there.

McCain may have his faults, but he is a lot better than Clinton or Obama.

Kind of a random argument without any support. :/

Eegads, random argumentation is often the most fun!
My dad sent me this email, which I think sums up the entire thing with a bow on top. He's actually a McCain supporter, ironically, but I have to hand it to him for passing on an amusing email.

Why did the chicken cross the road?
BARACK OBAMA:
The chicken crossed the road because it was time for a CHANGE! The chicken wanted CHANGE!
JOHN MC CAIN:
My friends, that chicken crossed the road because he recognized the need to engage in cooperation and dialogue with all the chickens on the other side of the road.
HILLARY CLINTON:
When I was First Lady, I personally helped that little chicken to cross the road. This experience makes me uniquely qualified to ensure -- right from Day One! -- that every chicken in this country gets the chance it deserves to cross the road. But then, this really isn't about me.......

I think the chicken crossed the road because there was some corn littered on the ground on the other side, and the stupid bird was hungry.

None of the candidates this round really make me jump up and down for joy. So it is the least of evils this time. I don't like Clinton or Obama, because they support policies that I strongly disagree with. McCain is rather blah because he doesn't have a strong stance.
Basically I will be voting against Obama and his running mate.
