Ads for guests/lurkers.

Okay, here's what we've been batting around for a while (and now I live in the UK, I can register for adsense properly.) Would you have a problem with google adsense ads for Guests/lurkers visible only to them? I don't like seeing them, and I don't specially like the idea of having only 'Site Supporters' not able to see them. And here's the deal, I believe in Financial Accountability, so if we did this, me and Ian could have a thread detailing all income from it (and gifts) and detail monthly costs and other stuff which comes in from income from ads (although obviously stuff which we buy which comes out of our pockets, we'll not list.) At the moment, I'm paying for the hosting and domain registration and wonder if we could make that from ads just for guests/lurkers, but I'd like to get the feel of the membership regarding this.

I think this is more than reasonable. And I love that it can be limited to guests and lurkers so that our community does not have to deal with them, and guests and lurkers can be encouraged to join/post so THEY don't have to deal with them. Advertising on forums is quite common, so I don't think anyone browsing the site would be put off enough to not even bother to join.

So my two cents is yes, do it.

Okay, they're in Compro for unregistered users only, and am going to work on implementing them subtly into other styles.
