Blog Users: Please Read This
Due to a horrible bout of bad luck over the last day or so, I had to uninstall vblogetin and replace it with vbulletin's blog software. I do have the blog data stored in a snapshot database and supposedly it's possible to import the information from the one system to the other, but from what Tim and I have experienced over the last few hours, it does not look very hopeful.
To put this another way, vblogetin has for the most part discontinued any kind of support and it is unreasonable to expect the software to work with the new forum software - it's not built to function with the back end and would cause more headaches in the long run than I'm personally willing to deal with, so Tim and I have decided it'd be sane, if not necessary, for us to start from scratch with the blogs. I wasn't aware how extensive the changes were in the software from v3.6 to v3.7, but it's enough to have kept me awake for more than 30 hours now trying to sort out the little details. I'm exhausted.
