Random Announcement: Help The Forums Grow!

Hey all,

The best things right now that we can all do to help the forums grow and mautre are:

1) Post threads! I don't mean any threads, but post content that'll help encourage discussion - meaningful discussion is my preference, but any discussion is good discussion, so long as it's within the forum rules.

And....

2) Tell friends about the site! Also, linking to the forum is a good thing and highly encouraged. Either one is very helpful!

I'd really like to see this site become a thriving community, and these two things will go a long way to achieving that goal. So, I'll see you all on the forums, and happy posting!

Let's take this in another direction.

What do you, as the membership here, feel would help encourage the forum to grow more? I mean, other than aesthetic things like restructuring the hierarchy of the forums, or renaming them, because I'm getting really worn out with all the repetitive work behind that kind of change. Are there any features that would be desirable, or help make the site more edifying and a more effective ministry?

How bout a forum specifically where people pray. As in people just type in prayers and such, and others can pray along as well.

not exactly what I meant... that's prayer REQUESTS. I meant for where people just pray, JUST pray... I'm not sure if I could put it into words very well...

We could rename the forum "The Prayer Room" or something like that.

But basically, that's the gist of a prayer request forum.

welllll, I think the reason the forums are so dead, is cause everyone's busy with back to school stuff... I know I most definitely am!

that and last minute vacation! yay!

That would make sense to me, but I work at a store that's constantly hammered by back-to-school shoppers.

I came here to see if there is any activity and its dead. Content wise it is pretty much the the same as other Christian websites. So what is the issue?

It may be aesthetic. I am not talking about the basic structure of the board. People tend to hang out at boards that are visually appealing and have bells and whistles where they can personalize. It is just human nature. Humans are visual creatures. Light blues for the default might be easier on the eyes.

Other sites like this one---->here added a lot of features and increased avatar size. It is picking up new members every day. This board shrunk its avatars. That roughly coincided with the slowness.

A few other questions I may ask. Do you have a games forum? People love to play games. Posting plant names or animal names A to Z.

I would encourage you to browse this link and get some ideas.

I would like to see this board pick up in activity.
