Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion

Hey Sisters and Brothers in Christ!

I was looking at the Gaming list and thee isn't a thread for Oblivion! So I had to start oone up

For those who don't know, Oblivion is an AWESOME PC game, with some of the best graphics. It's set in a fantay world with a very medievil style of living.

Who here has played it, is paying it, has completed it, where are you currently in the game, whats your fave set of armour, etc etc etc...

Can't wait for the feedback

I haven't played Oblivion in awhile. Gosh, I should play that again. Love that game. I was a female dark elf and I went through a lot of the game. I did the all the missions for the Fighter's Guild, the Theives Guild, part of the Dark Brotherhood, I did all of the main story, and I did all the of the Arena fights and became champion, plus I did many of the side missions and things. I like the fighters. Magic is pretty complicated in that game and I didn't have the patience for it. The beginning spells were so weak it was hard to keep myself alive. haha. That's why I like the dark elf though. Because they're a combination of magic users and good fighters. They can do both. And that's kinda what I did with my character. Became a fighter, but learned to use magic on the side, especially illusion spells. Those come in real handy.

Ok, yep, I've got to start a new character again! LOL! I'm gonna get hooked again!!

Won't be seeing you online for a long time then!! I'm a special species... called Ainmhi. Its a modded race, thats part kitten part human - basically, human with a tail and ears, and is short. I'm a marksman and mage (and this is like my zillionth character - all the others went through the game, so i've done everything before).
Everything is a relatively loose term. We're still exploring.
Dave and i do it together: in other words, Dave has the controls and i sit behind or beside him egging him on.

I have not played it yet, my pc won't do it. But I have both daggerfall and morrowind. I prefer daggerfall of the two. I do hope to get an xbox 360 sometime later this year and maybe upgrade my computer.

Yeah, you need a decent graphics card. a 256MB carsd (or something) will run it, on medium settings.
We got a GTX880 Graphics card, added about 100 mods to the game, and the card is starting to strain

hmmm. I seem to have majorly misconfigured the mods. I can't switch back to the main menu without the game crashing. Can't load a different save game just after loading one without the game crashing. whenever I quit the game crashes.

Oh... we fast travel and the game might crash.

We just play and the game randomly crashes....

and that's with the unofficial oblivion patch too. The mods I've added must undo all the fixes *sighs*

A cool game. I play a mod version for several things. For one, my character is a werewolf in the night time. Don't suggest it for low levels as you are kos by most. Also there is a nice mod that gives you your own castle with lost of rooms, library, cell, dungeon, monster summoning room, enchanting lab, alchemy lab, and spell lab, weather tower and tons of storage cases and chests. Probably one of my favorite mods.

mods are good ^^ Whatever you do, dont get any more than 150. if you do, dont combine them. or yoou end up with "oh, darn, that mod has stuffed up the Arcane University. Can I take it out? No, because I combined it with all the other location mods I downloaded"
