Default HoI2

Out of curiosity anybody else play the "Hearts of Iron" series by Paradox?

Playing HOI2 DD:Armageddon with mods atm.

Yeah, it's a mouthful, there's been a few expansions. Hearts of Iron 2 Doomsday: Armageddon is the whole thing I think. Anyways it's a great 2D strategy game encompassing WW2 and any after effects, the game goes from 1936-1964. Play as any nation that exists in the period. Yes, your gaming experience may vary (a game as Nepal does not offer the same scope of opportunities as say France). Well, even though some of the tinniest nations aren't too complicated, a lot of the middle sized countries can be a hoot. You might not bend world events to your will, but you might tip something important one way or the other by your meddling! Of course the major countries afford you a lot more influence on the game. The graphics are awful. Ghost fleets eat up memory (they can be purged). But, it's still really neat! It's to Axis and Allies what A&A is to tic tac toe.

I've been having fun playing the peripheral nations lately. My last long game as Communist China was fun.
