Hmm no replies since November, guess most are like me,who can't stand the Sims 2!
Now I LOVE the original Sims and still play it,but Sims 2 just is not *FUN* in the opinion of my daughter and I, who both got it for our PCs, and unistalled it!

lol! That is one of the things my friends and I do. We experimented with the game to figure out all the different ways you die. Sometimes when the Grim Reaper shows up, you can beg and plead for the person to be resurrected. But I think that only happens if you had a close relationship with the person and you are only successful if you have high charisma points.
:sigh: I really miss that game. I want my computer back in one piece so I can play it again.

We don't like it,because, there is so much to keep up with, that we feel this game is in no way relaxing or fun,and that there is no point to struggling so hard to acclomplish anything, like relationships for them or whatever, since your Sim,is just going to die, anyway!
Plus it's pretty dumb when your Sim strongly desires something that might very well kill him, as my old Mortimer wanted to be scared by a ghost,LOL!
So the number one reason we do not like The Sims 2,is because we did not think it was *FUN* to play, but we still love the Original Sims.

I love the Sims, but I'm not a big fan of the Sims 2. I guess I'm not used to it, and I've always been the one to prefer the original. I was actually trying to install it on my computer tonight though because I got bored! But I didn't have enough space.

Well I must confess, another thing is I hate 360 degree games. Trying to remodel those houses is a total pain, and I had a time once trying to find a toddler and get to it! It made me dizzy!

I got bored of The Sims after about 3-4 months of intensive play, because I didn't even have to work at it any more. I've yet to get truly bored of TS2, but I play it much less than I did The Sims.

Do you care to share why you play TS2 much less than you did The Sims?
I still love to see the different personalities of my different Sims, especially their reactions to other Sim family members playing an instument,or when I buy them new items and place them in their house while they're sleeping. It can be hilarious!
