Drugs, drink --------> God.

That's basically my life story..

At the age of 14, drinking, smoking drugs, eating drugs, snorting drugs....

15, my life hit a rock bottom, getting chucked out of school, and the pressure got so great I felt like killing someone.

That year, I found christ and was saved not just from eternal death but I was free from the pressure. The drugs weren't such a problem getting off, the cigs were, and the drink well that was no problem.

In the last year and a bit, I've had to change my old group of mates, and find new ones, ones that would encourage my faith etc....

So just keep me in your prayers. Peace, Rob.

Being a christian isn't easy or fun at times but Scripture tells us to *run the race* and we will be winners in the end. Satan likes to take us down, especially when we're going through harder life situations.

There is nothing that God does or permits while we are in this life, the object of which is not to bring us to love Him more. It is true that He allows trials, misfortunes, set-backs, etc. to come upon us -but they are always for our greater perfection. We shall get a lot of comfort from the realization that the circumstances -all of them -in which we are placed are just those circumstances in which, God, in His Wisdom, knows are Best for us.
To rejoice when despised; to thank God when one is humiliated; to be glad of one's lowliness; to be patient with one's own failings' to meet failure with a ready smile; to even glory in one's own infirmities. Then it is that love is becoming ardent and constant.
One little word holds it all together; another word for God Himself; LOVE! God is Love! All you have to do is; approach Him by Love; abide with Him in Love. His Love can and will fill your heart! God Bless,

Changing your way of life ,like friends,is most difficult but necessary.You can't find a better friend than Christ.I will pray for your continued strength

I have had trouble myself getting away from old friends. It's hard when you have grown up with a lot of them.

How were you brought to Christ? Was it through friends or yourself searching.



And I totally understand about the friend thing. I had to pull away from many friendships, and the sad part was it was people within my own church. These friends I had were living two lifestyles....good little christian on Sundays and bat out of hell the rest of the week. I pray that you find friends who share your faith and can encourage you during low times in your life.
