God Bless you! I know your generation faces soooo many temptations. It's wonderful that you've devoted your life to Christ. Just know that there will be more temptations unfortunately, I ask of you to please hold onto him. Your story sounds similar to mine growing up. I'm only 15 years older than you, and I dabbled in drugs and drinking. I mainly drank, but it can absolutely ruin your life, all of that. I hope you will not be influenced by others anymore. Your friends play a huge role in who you become, I pray that you can stay strong in who you are and your faith. I know even though I was saved at a young age, I dealt with insecurities that lead me far from Christ, and I often listened to everyone but myself and God (including Christian friends...who still don't know what is truly best for you).
A little piece of advice, sorry for sounding "nerdy", but trust me, I've been there. Just remember that only God knows what is best for you, and only you can truly make decisions for your life so stay true to who you are and don't listen to what career paths and school choices everyone else is taking. I wish someone had told me that years ago. Always listen to your heart and consult God for everything. May God bless your steps in the coming years.

Haha, thank you.
i have been struggling with keeping contact with the Lord, but i'm working on and getting lots of help from my youth leaders and others!
it's really hard, especially during these times, i think for teens now.
we're going through a time where lots of things that society introduces is not the best for us to watch and witness...yet no one seems to do much about it because it's so fimilar to this generation that it's become life!
i just hope i can reach out to others and help them before they become engrossed in a situation that can become the worst!

Thanks for sharing your testimony. The teen years are by far the most difficult and hardest because you begin discovering who "you" really are. Not to say you won't be discovering who you are in the following years, because from my experience, it's a constant process. But your teen years are definitely a major defining time.
I'm sure your parents are very proud of you despite their anxieities. Just pull close to the Lord, and know that Christ is your savior. I know there will be tough times ahead, but you have got a very good foundation in the Lord.
May God bless you during your journey, and keep you all of your days.

Bean, I'm so proud of you!
Telling the whole ugly truth is very hard. I'm certain that although your brothers have messed up, they will see the changes in you and you will guide them to Jesus.
God allows us to go through things to make us strong in Him.
You know the coaches phrase "pain is weakness leaving the body"? Well, although I think it's a stupid phrase that's WAY over used, there is a hint of truth in it. It applies here...you would not have come to truely know Jesus without experiencing the pain first...
Now is your growing time...your learning time. Don't punish yourself if you mess up from time to time...I've been a Christian since I was 7, and a true Christian since I was 12, and I still make Jesus cry from time to time. Just remember that His death covers new sins, all you need to do is bring them to Him, and repent of them.
