we need more posts in this forum sooo...
here's my testimony. it's been copy and pasted from somewhere else which explains the strange font
I do come from a Christian background, both of my parents are very strong and commited Christians, something I'm very grateful for! I remember all throughout my childhood God was always a big part of my life basically just because of my parent's faith and influence, but I don't think I was really that interested in becoming a Christian for a while basically because I figured I always had time to get right with God when I was older. But for some reason one night when I was about ten I just couldn't get over thinking how if I died that night or the next day I'd be going to Hell, so thats when I accepted Christ as my Saviour
The next few years were just not good, heh. I never really grew much as a believer and I remember even coming to a point where I didn't even want to be a Christian based on how I saw other believers acting and treating eachother. I made some not so great friends that weren't exactly the greatest influence on me. I never got into drinking or drugs or anything like that, heh, but my general focus was not good. there was also some big drama with said friends that didn't help matters much
but then when I was about 16 or 17 my dad got me involved in online apologetics, which was weird at first for me to actually have to try to defend my beliefs, but it really helped me to actually dig in and get serious about my faith and I realized the importance of actually knowing what I believe and why.
I even got serious about wanting to go to Bible College which is something I swore up and down a couple of years before that I'd never do
but it was around that same time I started getting symptoms of Fibromyalgia which basically put my plans on hold for a couple of years, and I had to give up doing some of the things I loved doing because of it. That was a tough time for me and it was really easy to get angry with God for that.
but there was one night about year or two ago where God spoke to me to tell me that He was bringing me through all that for a reason. Since that night I haven't really been able to be bitter with God about it, not to say I haven't been upset about it from time to time, but I can live with it because I know He's in control of it all. And I can see how He's used it to bring me closer to Him and to help me grow in my walk and understanding of who He is. And I know He'll continue to use it to bring glory to His name

There is a marvelous story of a man who once stood before God, his heart breaking from the pain and injustice in the world. "Dear God", he cried out, "Look at all the suffering, the anguish and distress in the world. Why don't you send help?
God replied, "I did - I sent you."
Was wir alleine nicht schaffen das schaffen wir dann zusammen.
