A Ready defense against the Jesus of the Watchtower Society

Colossians 1:16-17 For by Him were all things created, that are in Heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things are created by Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.

This passage is speaking about the only true Jesus. The Watchtower Society refutes this idea by saying that Jesus is the archangel Michael without any Scriptural support. This one verse says it all. Jesus is not a created being, but Creator God, who made all things for His glory. All angels, all kings, and all thrones. Without Him nothing would exist. Therefore, there is a large chasm between Michael the archangel which is a creature capable of sinning, and Jesus, Creator God, who is perfect in all His ways, and not able to sin.

whats interesting is the how the Watchtower translated that passage in the NWT:

13 He delivered us from the authority of the darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of his love, 14 by means of whom we have our release by ransom, the forgiveness of our sins. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16 because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exist, 18 and he is the head of the body, the congregation. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that he might become the one who is first in all things; 19 because [God] saw good for all fullness to dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile again to himself all [other] things by making peace through the blood [he shed] on the torture stake, no matter whether they are the things upon the earth or the things in the heavens.

Annie, the watchtower is very fond of the brackets game... the word other was added.

yup i noticed that, makes it much easier for them to make up their perverse arguments against what the Bible is actually talking about

Tenor, whats really interesting is when you start doing a little digging into the backgrounds of the "experts" that translated the NWT, none of which had any training in Biblical Languages and one, when put on the stand, admitted he could neither speak nor read Hebrew
