"Oh let's see....Testing, more testing, humm....more testing, stealing a stake knife, more testing, finally found the stuff I need to create a sling, more testing, Kyle got a dart from the staff rec room and we're sharpening it with the stake knife. Let's see what else happened....Oh yes Kyle can read minds and even control their actions though it takes a lot out of him right now, I'm bench pressing up to four thousand pounds," her eyes turned hard. "And we discovered there are at lest four children in here. Now when I say children I mean under ten. From what they said we've also got a few tweens and a couple of actual teens.....Oh and guess what! You'll never belive what else happend!"

Chaya made eye contact with Kayla with disgust, "What? Children?! That's insane!"

She growled under her breath, "When we get out of here, we have to make sure we at least attempt to get the kids out. We can't just leave them here."

"Oh and guess what! You'll never belive what else happend!"

Chaya looked at her, "What?"

"MORE TESTING!!!"

Everyone rolled their eyes at her and a few grins appeared.

"There is one thing she is forgeting to tell you about shari," Kyle said with a grin.

K nerrowed her eyes. "Don't you dare!" she hissed.

"Come now shari, who would have thought we would have such a stroke of luck?"

"It's NOT luck! In fact it is just the oppisite of luck! There is nothing in the world remotly related to luck when it comes to that....that...." A few very explicite words flew from her mouth.

"K, what is it?"

"Seriously," Chaya replied, attempting to reassure her, "What have we been through that we couldn't handle?"

Her eyes flashed and she slowly began to change. "You will NOT go near that creature! No one will coruperate with HIM NO ONE!"

Kyle managed to grab her by the arm and draw her to him. He held her as best as he could through the bars.

"What arn't you telling us about him shari? What is it about him that has you so mad, so scared?" he muttered stroking her hair to calm her down.

"My third foster father is here. He's a genitesit. He...he..." tears streamed down her face. "My foster mother was in a car accident and was dieing. She was three months pragnant. I loved her. She was a mother to me. So I had them transplant the fetus into me. He wanted the baby to look like me and not her so he took samples when I was out from the surgery..." She choked and couldn't finish.

Chaya took a breath. She was not expecting something so serious. Her best friend looked so scared, and that almost never happened. "Kayla, I..." She began to say, but she didn't know how to finish.

Chay still did not fully understand what was going on, and what happened to make her so scared of him, but she moved as close as the bars would allow and eyed the girl with sympathy. "Whatever happened," Chay started again, "I'm so sorry."

Kayla took a deep breath, whipped her eyes, and cleared her throat. "He drugged me up, made me think it was just the side effects of being pragnent, then he messed with the baby's DNA. The baby...Four legs, no hands, seven eyes...He's no good at what he does, don't let him touch you."

Kyle let the horror and disgust fill his eyes. That is NOT what he had been expecting.

Chaya's eyes filled with dismay, and her jaw fell to the floor. What would possess Ryder to hire such a man? Sure, Ryder was a jerk, but he wasn't stupid enough to give a guy who was that terrible at his profession a job on his team. Unless, it wasn't a mistake, and K's foster father actually meant to harm the baby. It was certainly something to think about, but Chay decided it best not to say anything to Kayla about it. The girl had enough on her mind as it was. She didn't need Chaya to make things worse.

"I don't want any one near him. And if he gets his hands on any of the children and he sees it, I for one I'm going to kill him." Kayla's growl caused the ground to tremble slightly.

"Don't worry shari, you're not the only one who feels that way. If he's seen or if there is even a rumor about him touching those children, I say we take hime out, and forget the consiquinces." Kyle's hand wove it's way through Kayla's hair as he spoke, trying to sooth her.

A fire had been lit in Chaya's eyes, and she took a deep breath. Spreading her wings wide, she rose to her feet and began to pace. "Every now and then, I find myself wondering how people could possibly be so heartless." She said, bringing a hand to her forehead, "But then I look around, and realize that I don't need an explanation. They just are."

Wham! The door flew open, and Chay whirled around to see Ryder and two other scientists enter. She neared the bars, glaring at them with hatred. One of them approached her cell, and began to open the door.

Time for testing. Joy.

Ryder glanced behind her at her freed wings, and she followed his eyes momentarily. She looked back at him, and he shook his head in frustration with a sigh. "D*mn it, Hannah. I never permitted you to do that." He then turned to the scientist opening the door, "Make sure you inject her to prevent her from retracting her wings during testing."
