Jackie sat down in a recliner to watch the news so she could put her stuff on a table and put her feet up. She glanced over at Red and Fracture. She thought it was cool that they could communicate telepathically. She wished she could do that.
Her thoughts drifted to Red as she continued to watch the television set. Honestly, she'd had a slight crush on Red for a bit. He was pretty cute and nice. However, he probably didn't want to have anything to do with her. I mean, a shapeshifter could do a lot of things, and...she decided to stop thinking depressing thoughts.
Jackie looked at the clock a bit later and thought sleepily that she should probably go to bed soon. If not, she'd end up spending the night in the TV room. Again. Well, Professor Xavier had guided her back to her room right before all of the students woke up, but still, she wanted to sleep in her own bed. Now, to motivate herself! Nope, wasn't working. This chair is pretty comfortable, she thought, ready to drift away to Sleep Land. She jerked herself awake.

"I'm gonna' go to bed now," she said sleepily, "I'll see everyone in the morning"

She shuffled and stumbled her way to her room, then got into her pajamas and collapsed in bed. As she drifted to sleep, she felt to warm bodies make their way over to her. She decided to sleep like a cat tonight, because a cat kept warmer and snuggled with a dog and tiger better than a human did. The last thing she heard before she drifted off was a rumbling sound, purring.

She woke up the next morning to birds twittering at her window. She transformed back into a human before she was tempted to eat the birds. She took a shower and got ready for the day(which included feed and exercising her pets), then went downstairs to eat. She saw Angel in the hallway, and went to catch up to him.

"Good morning, Angel!" Jackie said as she walked up to him "How did you sleep?"

"Good morning, Jackie!" Angel replied as he turned to look at her on their way to food, "I slept very well, thanks. How about you?"

They chit-chatted all the way to the cafeteria. As they walked in, Jackie glanced around, looking to see if Red and Fracture were up yet. She saw them near the back of the room, and waved as she saw their eyes wander over towards her

Hi guys! she mouthed, smiling and waving.

(( I've been going to reply to this at least a dozen times, but every time, I haven't been able to finish the post haha. Sorry about that! ))

Alex and his sister sat across from each other in the cafeteria. DJ's eyes darted away from his for a moment, and he turned, following her gaze, seeing Jackie and Angel. Jackie was mouthing a greeting, and Alex smiled and waved back to her.

AJ returned to face his sister, who was eying him, and smiling broadly. "What?"

"You like her, don't you?"

Alex cocked an eyebrow, and chuckled slightly. "And since when can you read my mind?" Then, his mouth dropped open, "Ah, I knew it!" He exclaimed jokingly, "You've been getting private tutoring from Jean Grey, haven't you? I'm gonna have to chat with her about that."

DJ smiled wryly, "You know I can't read minds. Frankly, I don't have to, to see that you like Jackie. I'm your sister. I know you better than anybody here."

Alex shook his head in denial. Truth was, he wasn't sure how he felt. He had just met the girl, but he couldn't deny that she was attractive. Nor could he deny that he wanted to get to know her better. Maybe he did like her.

Dana looked at him with a knowing smile, and took a bite out of her toast.

Jackie smiled as she saw Alex wave back and then turn to his sister and laugh. She decided to go find a window seat and sit down
"You ready, Angel?" she asked, turning slightly to look at him

"Yeah, where do you want to sit?" he replied

"By a window. Come on, Rose" she said. Normally pets weren't allowed outside of the rooms, but Dr. Xavier had said that she could have Rose in the school because heat vision could almost be as bad as being blind.
They passed Red and Fracture as they wove their way through the maze of the cafeteria

"Hey, guys..." Angel stopped as she was in the middle of greeting the twins and turned toward the door of the cafeteria. "What's he doing here?" she asked.

(( Uhh... Alrighty then. I'll roll with that haha. ))

Dana was about to tell the two to have a seat, but Angel seemed preoccupied with the man in the doorway. Nothing seemed unusual about him.

"Hey, man," Alex said, "You okay? Who are you talking about?"

((i was thinking that it could be like she could hear or sense that it was that rich dude coming into the school))

"Not the guy in the doorway. That billionaire, Mr. Stark, is here" she paused and turned the look at the other three "I can...sense him. Animal instinct, I guess. And I can smell him. He has a very strong smell, like he's used to being in power. I don't want him to see me here, he saw me at the cafe yesterday. I'm gonna go sit down with my back to him and my face and dog hidden." she then turned, walked to the back of the room, and sat down in a booth with her back to the door and right behind some other students. Angel glanced at 'Red and Fracture, shrugged, then followed her.

"What?" Red asked as the two left, "He's here? Why?"

"I thought he'd already worked out the agreement with Professor Xavier." Dana said, "Why is he back here?"

Alex shrugged.

"Do you think he'll recognize us from the cafe?" Dana asked.

"I dunno. I do remember that he made eye-contact with me when I was looking into his limo. He must've been thinking that I wouldn't notice because the windows were tinted. If that's the case, he might recognize me."

"Let's go in the back with Jakie," Dana said, "just to be safe."

AJ nodded, and followed his sister as she made her way to the back of the room. "You mind if we join you? He might recognize us from the cafe, too."

"Feel free, I don't mind" Jackie said "You ok with that, Angel?"
"Yep, sounds good to me." he replied "Hey, where do you guys want to sit? The guy hasn't seen me, so I don't care where I sit." He smiled to himself, because he had seen that 'Red and Jackie had a 'thing' for each other, even if they didn't realize it. "If one of you wants to sit by Jackie, that would probably be best, and then I could sit on the outside of the other person, so everyone would be as shielded as possible," He looked at the twins and waited for their reply.

Dana smiled knowingly, and spoke before her brother had a chance. "'Red, you sit by Jackie."

Alex looked at her, wide-eyed, and mentally said, "That's uncool."

Dana held back a smile, and took the inside next to Angel.

Alex, not wanting to protest, took his seat next to Jackie, and kept his head up, resisting the nearly uncontrollable urge to look down into his lap. Why did he feel this way? Even though he thought about asking her for a date, his mind kept drifting to the age difference. She had to be 3 or 4 years younger than he. It was something he would need to overcome.

Jackie looked at Angel and Fracture with a piercing glance. He wouldn't want to go out with her, he was 4 years older than she was. Well, her birthday was coming up in a week, so it would only be 3 years, but still.

"So, you guys have no clue why Stark is here?" Jackie asked to break the silence at the table "He might be coming to ask about me, 'Red, and Fracture, or he could want to talk to us about our standing and ask us to join him or something."

"He could want to the Professor to ask all of the students to place their view on the war, whose side they are on, on slips of paper, and then Stark could collect those who want to join him. This completes 2 purposes. 1)He has more people to fight with hime, and 2), he knows who's against him or on the fence. He can ask the other students the powers of the remaining kids and know how to fight us. That is, if the professor allows it." Angel suggested, looking around at the table.

Dana heaved a slow sigh, "I don't like where this is going."

"Whether he's here for slips of paper, or not, I'm not doing a thing that'll give him an advantage." Alex said, determination evident, "I swear. I'll join the Secret Avengers if I have to."

Dana stared at him with wide-eyes.

"I know," AJ said, knowing her thoughts, "I'll be careful. I promise."
