Living Healthy Check-In

Ok...took awhile but here it is! Our Living Healthy Check-In! :clap2:

I was thinking over the weekend that even this is hard when we are UY, because the focus is different. I know I can't do this on my own, I need to lean on the Lord to stay on track, but my DH believes its all will power and desire. "If I want it bad enough, then I'll just DO it". Sounds like a nike commercial. Life sure isn't like that...I guess in perfect world it would be but God gave us the chance to live in a perfect world and we messed it up.

This is NOT a guilt thread...we tend to do that on our own and do not need any help in that department. This is a Check-In "if you feel like it thread" only.

I know from personal experience that somedays I want to check-in even when its bad and other days I don't. No explination needed.

Over the weekend...I didn't drink my water and I didn't stick to my diet...

But today is Monday! A whole new day...and here we go again

I do not really need to loose weight, but I do need to stick to the strict diet I am on or I start to feel much worse. It is a stuggle because it is so boring.

I am supposed to stay away from gluten, dairy, yeast, sugar and alcohol. As I eat another rice cake and crunch another carrot stick I wonder if ife is worht living like this.

Today DS and I made choc chip muffins. They are cooling now and that is another temptation. Sigh.

As I mentioned before I find the food I can eat is not really filling.

i shall put my foot in the arena

I am super frustrated with my body!
I had knee surgery almost 2 months ago now ( wow time flies) and I am at about 90%. I have an electronic pedometer that is pretty acurate and I am walking 5 miles ( +) a day ( 4 days a week) biking at home about 30-40 miles a week and doing light weight training at the moment. Mostly band work and rowing etc.

I have not lost a pound! I have been at this rate for almost 4-5 weeks!
I completely understand muscle weighs more then fat but I am not even leaning out IN fact my uniform I have to wear daily was miserable today, its like I am bloated!

I am in surgical menopause and take herbal supplements now for that , otherwise all my blood test and Blood Pressure etc are in an athletes range!

OH Yeah I RARELY eat fast food or bad stuff MAYBE once a week I am eating something I shouldnt!

I am ready to stop it all and sit around and eat all I want , maybe my body works in reverse????????????????????????????

ok...still not doing well...but like you Jenny, I find that I feel so yucky when I'm off my diet...why isn't that reason enough???

we leave for Disney in a little more than a day... but what do you do???

I do not feel good lately because I eat too much fast food and am chugging Starbucks like it's about to go out of business. Now I'm starting to get where I can't sleep at night...hence me being online so much late at night.

I know what you mean about diet food tasting bad. I try to watch my weight, but am not overweight...I do need to exercise more. I'd like to just tone what I already have.

If you drink more water it's supposed to make you feel not as hungry...I really don't like water. I have tried the carbonated flavored water (without sugar...natural flavor) and it's pretty darn good I have to admit. But my latest thing is tea (all different flavors). It's loaded with antioxidants which is great for your skin as well as your health. I'd like to swap out Starbucks tall skinny mochas with tea...no sugar. We'll see.
