Default Revalations questions...

Hi,
I have just been reading the news and notice there is starting to be a lot of discussion on the entire world moving to one currency. Revalations speaks of this as a symbol of the end of times. Also, someone mentioned that maybe the U.S. was purposely letting the Dollar lose value so that trading over to the "Amero" would seem like a good idea. I was just wondering what others' thoughts were on the symbolism of many things that are happening in the world right now, and how it compares to Revalations. I think some of it is pretty scary stuff. Just curious. Maybe others could educate me even more, as I do not know as much as I should, I am sure.

i think above all its important to take whatever you hear with a grain of salt. There have always been and will always be conspiracy theories concerning whats happening in our world is leading to the one world order, etc... obviously not everything you hear is going to be true - these theories are built entirely on speculation and should just be treated as theories and not dogmatic truth.

i doubt that until all is said and done with we will ever be able to fully understand everything Revelation was talking about anyway. but, no matter what, in the end God is still in control and nothing can happen unless He allows it and He always watches after His children

I've always been of the mind that the central point behind Revelation, no matter how you look at the eschatology wrapped around it to glean some understanding of it, is that we're to basically cling to Christ as the one focal point of our faith. Our faith is to be dramatic in it's extension through and over our lives and should be the core of who we are. Regardless of eschatological leaning, if that's firmly in place already, you're set no matter what happens.

Now, as far as the government allowing the deterioration of the dollar; that's kind of silly since we've given our currency over to the Fed, which is a semi-private organization that isn't even able to be audited by the federal government. They basically do what they want, when they want to do it. Regardless, I'm not so sure if America will be the natural subject of Revelation.
